A
I am constantly on the
lookout for great gardens, which I photograph and propose to the
magazines. If they choose one of my proposals, I typically produce and style
the photo shoot and often write the story as well. My work regularly
appears in the many publications of Better Homes & Gardens, and I also
work with Victoria magazine, Cottage Living and Organic Gardening.
I also regularly contribute
gardening stories to the Chicago Sun-Times Real Estate section.
I have
also been a regular contributor to the Chicago
Tribune, Chicagoland Gardening magazine, Country Sampler magazines,
the Seasons newsletter for The Morton Arboretum, and the Kane
County Chronicle.
I am treasurer for the national Garden Writers Association, and have
spearheaded several of its Plant a Row for the Hungry campaigns.
I lecture, leads garden tours,
and am in the process of writing a book on garden design.
